Currently, GO GEORGE bus tickets can be bought on the bus from the driver, or at shops and businesses that have applied to become ticket vendors. Buying your ticket on the bus, however, slows down the boarding process and makes it difficult for the bus service to stay on schedule and get all passengers to their destinations on time.
For that reason, passengers are encouraged to buy their tickets off-bus. To make it easier for them to do so, GO GEORGE is in the process of expanding its number of ticket vendors, to provide ticket sales points in as many areas as possible.
George Municipality therefore invites applications from businesses, schools, community organisations and even small home businesses like spaza shops to become GO GEORGE ticket vendors.
