Rendezvous
Trying out the customised, comfortable seats in the George Transport Hub are, from left, Shirley Smit, Denise Cuff, Cecile Süllwald (a guest, not living at Rendezvous), Christine Hynard, Kay Schroeder and Louisa van der Westhuizen. At the back is Karen Lamberts from GO GEORGE who helped Louisa to organise the outing.

Already looking forward to their next GO GEORGE bus trip, a group of ladies from the Rendezvous Cottages retirement centre in George enjoyed an outing to the George Transport Hub and a bus trip to the Garden Route Mall via Rosemoor.

All of them have made use of bus transport in some stage of their lives, and felt it was a shame that they had not tried out their own local bus service yet. They made contact with GO GEORGE and was assisted in choosing a suitable time and route for their outing. At the Hub, they were met by staff who showed them around and pointed out interesting facts about the facility as well as the bus
service.

Rendezvous 2
In high spirits and ready for their bus trip, the group of ladies from Rendezvous Cottages and a non-resident friend were accompanied by Tyron Jeyi (standing), GO GEORGE community liaison officer.
The ladies were most impressed with the friendly assistance and hearty welcome from the GO
GEORGE team.

Those whose friends or spouses declined the invitation to come along, are adamant that they will get them not to miss out on the next trip, especially since they saw for themselves that the GO
GEORGE buses are easily accessible to the elderly with mobility challenges.

Anyone needing assistance to arrange a group outing on the buses are welcome to phone 0800 044 044 and leave a number where they may be contacted, or write an email to info@gogeorge.org.za.
