The two-millionth GO GEORGE bus ticket has been sold to Rochelle Wright, a final-year nursing student, on Wednesday, 11 November 2015. Rochelle lives in Pacaltsdorp and uses GO GEORGE to get to the George Provincial Hospital for her practical training.
The Executive Mayor of George, Alderman Charles Standers, handed Rochelle a GO GEORGE goodie bag to thank her for using the bus service and to celebrate the milestone. Several mayoral committee members accompanied the Mayor to the bus interchange in Cradock Street after their meeting on Wednesday.
