A few weeks after refinements to the routes on the first two phases that had been rolled out in December 2014 and February this year, GO GEORGE has now announced further tweaks to some of these routes to cater for passengers’ needs.
“We rely heavily on feedback from the community and never discard requests without seriously considering the possibility of adjusting services to suit our passengers’ needs,” said James Robb, GO GEORGE Manager.
While still fine-tuning the refinements to the Pacaltsdorp routes which will be implemented shortly, the GO GEORGE team have in the meantime announced further improvements to the routes servicing Loeriepark, Denneoord, Rosemoor and Blanco.
Routes 24 (Loeriepark) and 56 (Denneoord): More buses have been implemented on these two routes, and timetables adjusted so that peak travel times will be serviced more effectively.
The following improvements will come into effect on Monday 4 October 2015:
Route 2: Blanco – CBD: Based on lack of demand for an earlier bus, this route will now start at 05:30, with buses departing from the CBD and from Montagu at 05:30.
Route 3: Blanco Community: The schedules on this route have been changed to better connect with the main routes, allowing enough time to transfer from the community route to the main route buses.
Route C53: Rosemoor – CBD: In response to passengers’ requests, an early bus is added to this route, departing from the Garden Route Mall at 05:00, to reach the CBD in time for transfers to the 05:30 buses. However, should this trip not be utilised by enough passengers to make it affordable and sustainable, it will be reconsidered.
