The GO GEORGE routes rolled out to date already cover a huge part of George. Even so, the project has not reached the halfway mark yet.

Areas already enjoying the convenient bus service are Rosemoor, Loeriepark and adjacent suburbs, Denneoord, Blanco, Heatherlands, Heather Park, Pacaltsdorp, the Garden Route Mall and industrial area. In project terms, these are referred to as the first three phases.

Phase 4, covering Thembalethu, Conville, Parkdene, Borchards and Lawaaikamp, is next to roll out, and after that Phase 5 which will extend the service to Victoria Bay, Wilderness, Wilderness Heights, Kleinkrantz and Touwsranten. Herolds Bay is Phase 6, followed by routes to neigh-bouring towns.

The bus fleet consists of three different sizes of buses that are strategically applied according to need and the accessibility of roads in each area. In this way, George’s own public transport service aims to service the entire community effectively.
