GO GEORGE and Eagles take hands

Promoting attendance of local Currie Cup games, a group of Eagles rugby players have a standing date to hop on a bus a day before games played at Outeniqua Park to invite passengers and hand out free tickets to the game.

Mpumezi Mbaxa (middle), a Thembalethu resident, was the first lucky recipient of a free ticket to the Eagles’ match against the Blue Bulls on Friday. With him on the Blanco bus were, from left, Eagles Pieter Stemmet, Clinton Wagman and Juandre Digue, and GO GEORGE community liaison officer, Simphiwe Schaap.

GO GEORGE makes special provision for later buses on game nights for those using the bus service to go to Outeniqua Park.
