The popular GO GEORGE mascot, Georgie, has become a regular guest at the George Association for People with Disabilities’ annual celebration in November, Disability Rights Awareness Month.
As soon as Tyron Jeyi (GO GEORGE Community Liaison Officer, standing behind the wheelchair) had finished his explanation about the accessibility of the bus service to the disabled, the crowd started calling out for Georgie. Amidst shouts of joy, the VIP came dancing out to the rhythm of cheerful music, making Simoné Botha’s day by taking her for a spin.
Georgie loves the limelight and was more than happy to pose for numerous selfies and photos with his fans.
