GO GEORGE is taking hands with the Western Cape Department of Health in a special drive to support members of the public who choose to get vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.
For the month of December, two dedicated vaccination points will be set up between 08:00 and 16:00 at the Garden Route Mall on Saturdays, and at the George Transport Hub in Cradock Street on Wednesdays.
A free trip home after vaccination with the scheduled GO GEORGE bus service or the Red Dot taxi shuttle service is offered to persons who can show proof of vaccination with a sticker along with a vaccination card displaying the same date.
Nadia Ferreira, Principal Communications Officer of the Garden Route and Central Karoo Districts of the Western Cape Government Health Department, reiterated that vaccination is a very important tool in our fight against COVID-19. “Vaccination protects you from severe illness, hospitalisation and death from COVID-19. We appeal to the public to make use of this opportunity to get vaccinated. Vaccinations are free, safe and quick. We remind the public that you still need to wear a mask, avoid crowds and confined indoor spaces and areas with poor ventilation, and to stay home if you are sick,” she said.
