5th Birthday

The GO GEORGE bus service celebrated its fifth anniversary over the past weekend, having rolled out the first of the current three phases of routes on 8 December 2014.

To celebrate the occasion on Saturday morning, the popular GO GEORGE mascots together with staff in colourful costume, dancing at the York Street circle with cheerful posters, balloons, pom poms and whistles, made sure the message came across: GO GEORGE is five years old and proud of it!

According to James Robb, GO GEORGE Manager, the George Integrated Public Transport Network (GIPTN) is hopeful that the current deadlock regarding further roll-outs will be resolved in the new year. “We are sincerely looking forward to be of service to the rest of the George community who also deserve the benefits the bus service brings to the people of George,” he said.
